Specializing in running men’s Slow Pitch Softball on Long
Island, the Classic Softball League believes it has everything you want for your
team to play organized Slow Pitch softball. Classic Softball is run by former
and still active players and has been in operation for 30 years. The “player’s
softball league”, the Classic Softball League is administered by people who are
still active ballplayers which delivers a unique perspective, knowledge and
understanding of the game of softball.
What Classic Softball Offers

The Classic Softball League offers a variety of
programs for your team. From the novice to the most competitive teams on
Long Island, Classic Softball has it all. Some of what Classic Softball
offers are:

Spring, Summer and Fall Leagues

Sunday morning and afternoon.

Weeknights under the lights
o
Sunday morning “Clincher Softball ” league for those
who enjoy a defensive game, where it is a challenge to get a hit!
Additional Benefits
Tournaments
o Charity
Tournaments: Although a little less competitive, these tournaments
are lots of fun because everyone always still wants to win, but at the
same time, give to a worthwhile cause. This year we plan on running 3
such tournaments. We do not know of any other softball group that does
this much for charity!
o
Part of the Long Island ASA: An organization that
will runs qualifier tournaments. These tournaments let your team compete
to qualify for a National Tournament held in Florida. If qualified and
choose to participate, your team will receive travel money to help
defray such costs.
Special Events
o
Annual Awards Dinner – individual and team prizes are
presented to championship teams as well as others for individual
achievement. The evening of entertainment also includes music and
dancing.
o
Long Island Tournament of Champions – All league champions
will have another opportunity to add to their season’s accomplishments
because they will qualify for this tournament. You will get to see how
your team stacks up against competition from other leagues in Nassau &
Suffolk County. The winning team will receive championship rings!
